Heather Breeze

I created this piece by blending different colours of Pink and purple as well as orange and yellow.

The different colours show heather in different seasons such as Autumn and Spring, when the plant dries out and falls to the floor.

To make this watercolour painting, I only used three brushes, two small and one larger.

I got the idea of heather from drawing feathers and blending colours together. It didn’t turn out as I had planned it to but then I had the idea of making it into something else, maybe a reed, grain or Heather.

If you would like to learn how to make a painting like this, I will put a video below.
